Vineyards: Finca “La Serrera” and Lulunta
hills.
Training system: High vertical shoot positioning.
Soil: Highly rocky soil.
Picking (harvesting): Manual picking, with
boxes of 18 Kg.
Vinification: We make a
selection of grape clusters. The wine has a pre-fermentation
maceration, an alcoholic fermentation at low temperature and
a malolactic fermentation in oak casks. 100% of the wine is
first aged in new oak casks for 12 months, and then in bottles
for 12 months.
Comments (winetasting notes): The Serrera
Gran Guarda is an elegant, concentrated and powerful wine
of a deep violet-ruby color. It is the result of grapes that
come from one of the most exclusive terroirs in Mendoza –Lulunta-
with an extraordinary vinification concept. It is a wine of
excellent qualities and great personality.
